Picking up a guitar at the young age of 10, Danielle Lee started out as a small town girl with a big city dream and is now officially a Nashville Recording Artist, BMI songwriter, and singer/guitarist. She has so far personally met and opened for Lady Antebellum within. She has performed in many venues big and small across the Indiana/Kentucky region and is hoping her music will someday reach all around the world. Since March of 2012, Danielle has been recording in the Nashville famous The Tracking Room studio, the studio that housed Shania Twain, Gretchen Wilson, and more! Danielle had also personally met the producers of Shania Twain, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, and has also met one of the top directors in BMI who invited her to audition for the hit NBC TV show The Voice!
As a child, she grew up singing and watching her grandfather teach her how to play guitar. She quickly noticed she can pick up any instrument and play by ear by the age of 6. When she was only 10 years old, Danielle found her perfect match: the acoustic guitar. By the 6th grade, Danielle wrote and sang a poem for a class project and discovered she had the ability to write songs.
Before she became a country music performer, Danielle already had a large amount of stage work on her life's resume. Throughout high school, Danielle took part in 4 choirs, and performed and starred in her local theatre groups. In her junior year of high school, she auditioned and then was accepted to study at an Off-Broadway workshop in New York City. She was trained by the theatre and film industries' top actors and casting directors and performed on an Off-Broadway stage downtown NYC. While playing music to her supporters on the weekends, Danielle is studying and will be graduating from Indiana University in 2014 with a BA in Theatre and Drama and a Certificate in Arts Administration (Concentration in Music Industry). She can't wait to graduate and fulfill her dream to the fullest!
Other than music, she has a passion to act in the film industry, which she has already starred in many short films. She also loves riding horses, tap dancing, and also making homemade guitar string bracelets.
